Jen will show us how to do a Crosswheel button and one other button of our choice decided on the day.

‘View from a window’
Fabric Books

10th February at 10am -4pm
We will start the workshop by making a One Signature book in paper as a template. Then make the same style of book in calico which will form the basis for your stitching and embroidery on the topic ‘View from a Window’ or your own inspiration.
Spring Social
9th March 2024 – 10am – 4.30pm
A chance for members to sell their work at our sale from 10am -1pm followed by Spring Social
The afternoon is our chance to discuss and collaborate on our pieces for the Snowshill hanging, so please bring any ideas any any work you have started.
Black work

Learn how to create your own Blackwork piece.
The kits cover historical, Islamic and modern Blackwork embroidery. Kits cost £8.50. This includes four plus projects, charts, threads.
Liz will bring a large display of different types of Blackwork for you to explore and to give you ideas for the future.

Diamond Stitches: Science meets Textiles, learn about my community outreach projects, “Designs for Life”, “The Largest Diffraction Pattern in the World!” and work as Artist in Residence at Diamond Light Source, the UK’s national synchrotron facility, located at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire.
